Korean boy group EXO has earned a triple crown on the 48th Oricon Annual Ranking for 2015 in the new artist category. In addition, they have amassed 900 million yen in sales and set a record for foreign male artists. They have ranked number one on the annual chart for ‘New Artist individual Sales’.
EXO’s debut single ‘Love Me Right ~romantic universe~’, which was released in November, sold 187 thousand copies, amassing 320 million yen. This was in addition to their Korean album, ‘EXODUS’, which sold 60 thousand copies and amassed 180 million yen in sales in Japan. As a new group they ranked number one on both ‘Single Sales’ Revenue’ and ‘Album Sales’ Revenue’, earning them a triple crown in the new artist category.
