Boy group EXO’s rapper, Chanyeol, has revealed his hidden singing abilities.
Groups EXO and EXID will come face-to-face as showmen on the May 24 episode of JTBC’s Two Yoo Project Sugar Man. Expectations are high as Chanyeol, who only showed his rapping abilities as a member of EXO, will perform a duet with fellow EXO member Chen.
Black Eyed Pilseung, who produced the track with Chanyeol and Chen, stated, “Their tone is really good. The high voice of Chen and deep voice of Chanyeol come together to complete a beautiful sound.”
Their opponents, Sol Ji and Hani from EXID, have gained the title of “Contest Queens” from a variety of music contest shows and upon hearing their song, Yoo Hee Yeol stated, “It’s like a musical.”
After the successful completion of EXO’s performance, Yoo Hee Yeol also complimented Chanyeol by stating, “Your singing ability is amazing.” Chanyeol revealed, “This was my first time singing officially, and it was the most nerve-racking experience of my life.”
Two Yoo Project Sugar Man’s producer stated, “The producer Black Eyed Pilseung said he got chills during the recording,” and, “You will be shocked by Chanyeol’s singing ability.”
Meanwhile, the EXO and EXID episode of Two Yoo Project Sugar Man will air on May 24.
