Kim Dong Wook is one of many famous actors who appear in the film “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds.” The actor took part in an interview on December 27, where he shared his thoughts on fellow co-star and EXO member D.O.

“Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds” is a film about a man who dies and the grim reapers who help him as he goes through seven trials over the course of 49 days in the underworld to determine his fate in the afterlife.

In the film, Kim Dong Wook and D.O. both appear as soldiers. When asked about D.O., Kim Dong Wook said, “Do Kyung Soo[‘s acting] doesn’t make me think that he’s an idol or singer at all. He’s very good at concentrating at the spur of the moment and is outstanding at acting.”

He continued, “I worked with veteran seniors such as Cha Tae Hyun, Ha Jung Woo, and Joo Ji Hoon, and they don’t tell me what to do or suggest that I do it a certain way. They are the type to accept everything and allow me to be comfortable and do what I want to do. I also think that’s the right way to do it.”

Kim Dong Wook used this approach with D.O. and emphasized that he did not give him acting advice. “Age and seniority aside, I think it’s right that I respect Do Kyung Soo’s acting as a co-star and actor,” said Kim Dong Wook.

He added that D.O.’s portrayal of his character helped him gain more context for his own character and said there was “a lot of synergy” while working with D.O.

『In a recent interview, Kim Yong Hwa, the director of the new film “Along With The Gods: The Two Worlds,” praised EXO’s D.O. for his diligence and tenacity.

The director opened his thoughts on D.O. by saying, “I thought to myself, what kind of person is this?”

He explained, “I wondered how he was able to prepare for the shoot perfectly even after performing on stage all night.” Kim Yong Hwa added, “[D.O.] is incredible for being able to endure all of the immense pressure.”

The director went on to compliment D.O. for his maturity. “D.O. is very mature for his young age. Even though I’m 20 years older than him, I had a lot to learn from him,” commented Kim Yong Hwa.

On the subject of D.O.’s difficult role, a depressed soldier, Kim Yong Hwa praised the actor for accepting the role without hesitation. The director pointed out, “Who would want to play the role of a depressed soldier? It’s remarkable that he accepted it eagerly.”

Lastly, Kim Yong Hwa repeatedly emphasized, “D.O. will be appearing in the second installation of the movie as well. Please look forward to it.”

Upcoming film 'With God' confirmed to premiere this winter. 

'With God' is a film that originated from a popular webtoon. The production has been prepared for 2 years and it just recently completed filming after 10 months. It's also the first Korean film that has started production and filming for its sequel before the premiere.

The upcoming film, “With the Gods” (literal translation), already boasts a fantastic lineup!

On May 9, the production company, REALIES Pictures, revealed that the cast includes Ha Jung Woo, Cha Tae Hyun, Joo Ji Hoon, Ma Dong Suk, Lee Jung Jae, Kim Hyang Gi, Kim Dong Wook, EXO’s D.O., Kim Hae Sook, Oh Dal Soo, Im Won Hee, Jang Gwang, Jeong Hae Gyun, and Kim Ha Neul.

“With the Gods” is a film adaptation of a webtoon of the same name by Joo Ho Min. The story is about grim reapers who take people to the afterlife and the film will be directed by Kim Yong Hwa. Unusually for a Korean film, it will be filmed in two separate parts at the same time and released sequentially.

Ha Jung Woo will be playing the leader of the grim reapers, while Joo Ji Hoon and Kim Hyang Gi play the chief constable and the maknae of the team respectively. Cha Tae Hyun plays a man who dies suddenly and must undergo seven trials in 49 days in the afterlife. Ma Dong Suk will play the guardian spirit.

Kim Dong Wook will play Cha Tae Hyun’s younger brother, who is now a ghost, and D.O. will play Kim Dong Wook’s successor in the army.

Lee Jung Jae has been cast as the king of the underworld, while Kim Ha Neul plays the ruler in charge of the circle of betrayal (each of the seven trials is a circle of hell with its own ruler). Kim Hae Sook is the ruler of the circle of sloth while Jang Gwang rules the circle of violence. Jung Hae Gyun is the king of the circle of murder while Oh Dal Soo and Im Won Hee are the judges who help with the trials process.

Filming will begin at the end of May and is expected to be released in theaters in 2017.

Singer-actor D.O confirmed Monday he will star in upcoming film “With God.”

It seems that Do Kyungsoo will add to his golden personal connections. News came out on him today, on joining the movie With God.

Joining this film with Ha Jungwoo, Cha Taehyun, Joo Jihoon, and Ma Dongseok means that he will be working with Korea’s representative big brothers. Do Kyungsoo, who doesn’t seek connections through his projects but stays on close terms with the people in them, will find another four brothers he can depend on.

Previously, Do Kyungsoo had debuted as an actor in the 2014 drama IOIL. Although he had been casted for and filmed for the movie Cart first, IOIL was the first to showcase him as an actor.

Through IOIL, Do Kyungsoo gained older brothers in Jo Insung, Lee Kwangsoo, and Tae Hangho. Through Jo Insung, he was introduced to Jo Insung’s group and became close with Kim Kibang, Song Joongki, and Kim Woobin.
