EXO fans have been lighting up Twitter as the group gets ready for their summer comeback!
At 10:26 p.m. KST on July 8, EXO launched their official Twitter and released the first teaser for their upcoming album “The War” and its title track “Ko Ko Bop.” Twitter also made an emoji out of the group’s new logo for this concept, which appears automatically next to the hashtags “EXO,” “TheWarEXO,” “KoKoBop,” and the group’s Korean name “엑소.”

After the first teaser release, fans quickly turned “EXO” and later “Ko Ko Bop” into worldwide trends on Twitter, and you can check out an amazing “heat map” here that reveals a light show of fans all over the world talking about EXO on Twitter over an almost 24-hour period.
Of course, the lead-up to the group’s comeback only just began on the evening of July 8. According to Twitter Korea, after the release of Kai’s individual teaser on July 10 at midnight KST, there were 3.7 million tweets overnight about EXO.
On July 10 at 1:30 p.m. KST, Twitter Korea announced with a glittering world map, “Along with the launching of EXO’s account, 11 million tweets about EXO have been sparkling from all over the world.”

According to Twitter Korea, tweets about EXO have averaged over 1 million a day over the five years since their debut, and EXO came in No. 1 on the list of Top Trending Artists on Twitter in 2016.
