[160930] EXO’s Suho Thoughtfully Keeps Promise Made In Passing To The SoDa Siblings

It may have been spur of the moment, but EXO’s Suho touches hearts by keeping a promise to Lee Beom Soo‘s children.

In a post shared by their mother on September 30, So Eul and Da Eul brightly smile as they pose with gifts from the group’s leader.

Suho previously agreed to gift Da Eul his favorite construction toys if he shared his apple juice with him when they met each other through members Xiumin and Chen. Although it was a promise made on the spot, the siblings’ mother expresses how touched she was that the idol actually honored something that wasn’t intended to be taken literally.

She gives both Suho and EXO a huge thumbs up, and elaborates on how the leader wasn’t obligated to gift So Eul anything, but did so anyways to be fair. The siblings’ mother continues to compliment the idol, saying how well he’s grown up, and jokes that now the SoDa siblings should sign up for EXO’s fanclub.

How sweet of Suho to keep a spontaneous promise!

[160623] EXO’s Chanyeol and TWICE’s Nayeon To Team Up For Suzy and Baekhyun’s “Dream” Collaboration Stage

Fans can look forward to a special stage as the hit track “Dream” by miss A‘s Suzy and EXO‘s Baekhyun will finally be performed live! Unfortunately, not by the song’s two original singers themselves.

Come June 24th, TWICE‘s lead vocalist Nayeon and EXO’s rapper Chanyeol will be taking the stage together on Music Bank for its half-year celebration episode, and will be singing “Dream.”

In particular, the reason why this collaboration stage is gaining the attention of fans is that the song itself has never been sung on broadcast before. Not only that, it is a labelmate and fellow group member who will be undertaking the task of performing the song live for the very first time.

Additionally, as Chanyeol holds the position of rapper in EXO, it isn’t very often that fans can hear him sing. In fact, he recently released an OST track for the Chinese film So I Married An Anti-fan called “I Hate You,” which has already received praises from fans.

The upcoming episode will also be filled with artists who have won thus far on the show in addition to special stages being performed. Other artists who will be taking part in the special episode including SISTAR‘s Soyou, MONSTA X‘s Shownu, EXID‘s Hani, KNK‘s Jihoon in addition to EXO’s Chanyeol and TWICE’s Nayeon.

Music Bank will air its half-year episode at 5pm KST.

[160120] Suzy and Baekhyun’s Duet “Dream” Going Strong by Topping 5 Gaon Charts

“Dream,” the cross-company collaboration between miss A’s Suzy and EXO’s Baekhyun, has taken the No. 1 slot on the Gaon Chart for two weeks now.

According to the Gaon Chart, “Dream” had taken No. 1 on the Combined Digital Chart, the Download Chart, the Streaming Chart, the Album Chart, and the Social Chart by January 21.

The soulful, jazzy duet was produced by South Korea’s Park Geun Tae and Choi Jin Suk of the U.S.-and-Europe-based production company Design Music, with lyrics written by Kim Lee Na. The track is a sweet love song with elements of Neo-Soul and pop R&B.

As Park Geun Tae worked with Mystic Entertainment for this project and Suzy and Baekhyun are from JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment respectively, the track is also a major collaboration between entertainment agencies.

In the same week (January 10 to January 16), the Top 5 also includes K.Will and Davichi’s “If You Call It Romance,” Gary’s “Lonely Night,” and Lee Juk’s “Don’t Worry, Dear” and Oh Hyuk’s “Little Girl” from the “Reply 1988” OST.

Leading on the Gaon Weibo Charts is CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa and BIGBANG.

[160107] EXO Baek Hyun and miss A Suzy′s Duet Track Ranks No.1 on Digital Charts

Suzy and Baek Hyun′s collaboration track Dream topped digital music charts as soon as it was released.

Dream was officially released at midnight on January 7.

The duet track by two popular idols under JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment has already drawn a lot of attention. A teaser released ahead of the song also heightened anticipation for the song.

So it came as no surprise when Suzy and Baek Hyun′s Dream ranked first on many real-time digital music charts as soon as it was released.

Dream was composed by composer Keun Tae Park and producer Jin Seok Choi from Design Music, and was written by Kim Eana. It is a romantic R&B pop song inspired by jazz and neo-soul sounds with sweet lyrics conveying the early stages of falling in love.

Suzy′s clean vocals with Baek Hyun′s soft voice, supported by warm jazz notes, creates a romantic harmony, demonstrating their improved musical spectrum.

The music video for Dream is staged with Suzy and Baek Hyun singing backed by a live jazz band in the back, as if they are singing at a small jazz bar in a foreign country.
