Girls′ Generation (SNSD)′s Yoona and EXO′s Lay will not be attending the SMTOWN concert in Taiwan.
On March 19, SM Entertainment told Newsen, "Both Yoona and Lay are individually filming their Chinese projects, so they will not be able to attend the SMTOWN Taiwan concert."
Yoona has been cast as the female lead of the Chinese drama, Wu Shen Zhao Zi Long (God of War Shao Yun - working English title), which is based on the Chinese novel, Romance of Three Kingdoms, is about a hero named Zhao Zi Long, depicting the story of war, love and growth set during the late Eastern Han dynasty period. The drama is set to air August of 2015 through Hunan TV.
In the drama, Yoona has been cast as the female lead ‘Xia Hou Jing.’ ‘Xia Hou Jing’ is an attractive woman with a bright personality who falls in love with Zhao Zi Long but falls into confusion upon finding out that he killed her father.
Lay has recently been cast in the Chinese film, Oh My God, which begins filming this week. Oh My God is the third movie that Zhang Ziyi will be producing. Leste Chen, who directed the Chinese version of Miss Granny, will also take part in the film. Other actors included in the SF romantic comedy movie will be Cheney Chen and Jacqueline Lu Li.
SMTOWN Live in Taiwan will take place on March 21.
