[150729] Jo Jungseok Expected for 'Brother'... Will he and D.O. be siblings?

Actor Jo Jungseok (35) is considering the film Brother.

According to officials on the afternoon of the 28th, Jo Jungseok has been going over the details for appearing in Brother as the older brother. Previously, EXO member D.O. (22, real name Do Kyungsoo) rose as the prospective actor for the younger brother, and these two are already attracting much curiosity for their chemistry as siblings.

Jo Jungseok has most recently appeared on tvN’s Fri-Sat drama Oh My Ghostess as the star chef Kang Sunwoo, shaking the hearts of women. He started as a musical actor before establishing popularity in the film Architecture 101 as the character Napddeuki. From comedies to the serious and heavy, he has proven himself to have a wide spectrum in acting.

D.O. had squeezed his role as Han Kangwoo in the drama IOIL through the idol group EXO’s schedule to find a place as an actor-idol. He is standing tall as an actor, attracting whole interest just a year after his big screen debut in Cart.

Brother stars two brothers, and is foremost a human story. It will be a cathartic story about the growths of a younger brother who suffered an unfortunate accident and the older brother who watches over him.

If director Kwon Sookyung of Barefoot Kibong holds the megaphone, then screenwriter Yoo Youngah of Miracle in Cell No. 7 holds the pen. Anticipation is

high for how this unparalleled production team will portray the warm and delicate emotions with family as the subject. Meanwhile, Brother is concluding its lead casting and plans to start filming around this coming October.
