[Ten Asia=Reporter Jung Shiwoo] Actors Jo Jungsuk and Do Kyungsoo will be meeting through the film ‘Hyung’ (working title).
On the 25th, CJ Entertainment revealed that “Jo Jungsuk and Do Kyungsoo have been confirmed for the movie ‘Hyung.’”
‘Hyung’ is a film about a pompous older brother who is a conman who left home 15 years ago but is forced to move in with his younger brother, a well known judo athlete (Do Kyungsoo) who doesn’t want to live with his older brother.
Jo Jungsuk plays the role of a shameless older brother who uses his younger brother’s title as an excuse to get on parole rather than being imprisoned when charged with fraud. Do Kyungsoo plays a famous judo athlete who was about to attend a competition to select national representatives, but is deterred when an unfortunate accident changes his life’s direction.
Jo Jungsuk feels that “Every actor has a selfish desire to perform a good script. I chose this script because of its charm as an empathetic human story. I’m already anticipating the final result.”
Do Kyungsoo “Is abitious to do well in a role different from the characters he’s tried before. After deeply reading the scenario, I began to feel nervous and anticipate; and got so excited that I couldn’t sleep. I won’t forget that feeling and will act with that motive.”
Director Kwon Sukyung “Wishes to convey the most primordial human story through this work. Through the relationship of brotherhood, and the process of the two men’s hurting and healing, I want to once again examine the meaning of family.”
Kwon Sukyung who directed ‘Barefoot Kibong-yi’ is to direct with screenwriter Yoo Younga who wrote ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’ writing the scenario, ‘Hyung’ will begin filming in October.
