EXO’s Lay and Krystal of the girl group f(x) have been cast as the lead in a movie jointly produced by Korea and China according to a news report on Wednesday.
The movie is produced by Korean director Seong Si-heup and funded with Chinese capital.
The reason behind the casting is that Lay is Chinese and both are part of SM Entertainment which has a lot of impact on hallyu.
The associate to SM Entertainment said, “Chinese fans have high expectations as two hottest K-pop stars are to appear in the movie.”
The movie is a romance story. It is expected to premiere in fall 2016.
