Dream was officially released at midnight on January 7.
The duet track by two popular idols under JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment has already drawn a lot of attention. A teaser released ahead of the song also heightened anticipation for the song.
So it came as no surprise when Suzy and Baek Hyun′s Dream ranked first on many real-time digital music charts as soon as it was released.
Dream was composed by composer Keun Tae Park and producer Jin Seok Choi from Design Music, and was written by Kim Eana. It is a romantic R&B pop song inspired by jazz and neo-soul sounds with sweet lyrics conveying the early stages of falling in love.
Suzy′s clean vocals with Baek Hyun′s soft voice, supported by warm jazz notes, creates a romantic harmony, demonstrating their improved musical spectrum.
The music video for Dream is staged with Suzy and Baek Hyun singing backed by a live jazz band in the back, as if they are singing at a small jazz bar in a foreign country.
