[160610] EXO remains humble after topping charts

“Monster,” the title track of boy band EXO’s latest album “EX’ACT” has swept all eight local charts as of Thursday morning, however, its success will not be taken for granted, said EXO on Thursday to a local media outlet Thursday.

“I appreciate all descriptions (of the album), ‘first place,’ ‘all-kill’ and ‘alignment,’” EXO told OSEN. “Our adjective is to reward fans with quality stage performances.”

“All-kill” is often used in Korea to describe a music track that has swept local charts, while “alignment” is used to refer to how multiple tracks from an album is dominating the charts.

As of 3 p.m., “Monster” had swept the top spots in seven of eight music charts here: Bugs, MelOn, Mnet, Genie, Soribada, Olleh Music and Naver Music.

Among the seven music charts, another track “Lucky One” made it into the top five of six charts, with the song taking eighth place on the Naver Music chart.

On the music chart Monkey 3, “Monster” was behind rhythm and blues group Urban Zakapa’s “I Don’t Love You.”
