EXO has set a new record in Gold Disk Awards history.
During the 31st Golden Disk Awards, EXO set a new record by winning their 4th Disk Daesang. The previous record holders were Kim Gun Mo, who won during the 9th-11th Golden Disk Awards, and EXO, who won during the 28th-30th Golden Disk Awards.
EXO beat their own record by achieving 4 Disk Daesangs. The group won a total of 3 awards during the night including the Ceci Asia Icon Award and the Disk Bonsang.
After winning the Disk Bonsang, EXO shared, "We win awards a lot, but we feel the most pressure through the Golden Disk Awards. As much as we feel pressure from this award, EXO will work that much harder."
Meanwhile, EXO also won the Artist of the Year award at the 2016 Melon Music Awards and the Album of the Year at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
