Another one of EXO’s classic hits has reached a new milestone!

Before the clock hit midnight, at approximately 11:15 p.m. KST on September, “Call Me Baby” surpassed 200 million views on YouTube! It hit this milestone a little under three years, five months, and 25 days since the music video was first unveiled on March 30, 2015.

“Call Me Baby” is the title track of EXO’s second studio album “EXODUS,” which was released on March 27. The album set new records both domestically and internationally at the time, and would earn EXO their second “million-seller” title. “Call Me Baby” itself was a huge success, garnering the group an impressive total of 18 music show wins, and being the most-watched K-pop MV in the first half of 2015.

The group’s social media account also posted about the achievement in celebration!

[160823] EXO’s “Call Me Baby” MV Reaches 100 Million Views

Only a few days after EXO’s comeback with “Lotto,” EXO and EXO-L have achieved another impressive milestone!

On August 23, the Korean music video for EXO’s track “Call Me Baby” hit 100 million views on YouTube. This is the third music video by EXO to reach this milestone, after “Overdose” (which currently has over 111 million views) and “Growl” (which now has 108 million views) both hit the record number in May of this year.

100 million views is an amazing record to achieve for K-Pop artists, with other artists who’ve reached the milestone including Super Junior, BIGBANG, HyunA, 2NE1, and PSY.

EXO released “Call Me Baby” in March of 2015 as the title track on their second full album “Exodus,” and won a whopping eighteen music show trophies for the song. The hit group is currently promoting “Lotto” off the repackaged version of their third album “EX’ACT.”

[150423] EXO to continue “Call Me Baby” promotions amidst reports Tao terminating contract

Despite the current commotion surrounding Tao‘s possible withdrawal from the group, EXO will be continuing their broadcasting promotions with “Call Me Baby.”

On April 23rd, SM Entertainment confirmed with Newsen that EXO will be appearing on this week’s KBS Music Bank, MBC Music Core, and SBS Inkigayo as scheduled.

EXO is currently facing another possible member loss after Tao’s father shared a lengthy letter on the 22nd that he wishes to withdraw Tao from the group, fearing for his son’s health. It was later revealed that Tao had agreed to his father’s wishes to withdraw. As a response, SM Entertainment stated that they would be discussing in a constructive dialogue in regards of Tao’s activities with his father in hopes to resolve the situation.

Last year in February, Tao received an ankle injury on MBC‘s Idol Athletics Championship. However, with his continuing schedule, the ankle never fully recovered and worsen after taking up the first stage of “Call Me Baby” on M! Countdown in April.
