[180529] Xiumin Shares His Differing Approaches To EXO-CBX’s Reality Show And “It’s Dangerous Beyond The Blankets”

EXO’s Xiumin has come so far in terms of variety programs since his debut years!

On May 29, EXO-CBX held a press conference for their currently airing “Travel the World on EXO’s Ladder.” While discussing the show, Xiumin commented on how he felt about appearing on more reality programs.

“Truthfully, I’m the kind of person who doesn’t suit variety shows,” he shared. “While working on this reality show, I was grateful that they edited my ‘no-fun’ self in an entertaining way. I also think that I match well with reality programs. Through this show, I thought that I should find and film more reality-type variety shows.”

The EXO member also revealed what he thought was the biggest difference between filming a reality show with EXO members and filming MBC’s “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets.” As a regular member of the show, he recently appeared on the show with actor Kim Min Suk, speed skater Kim Min Seok, WINNER’s Song Mino, and rapper Loco.

Xiumin explained, “A big difference would definitely be… I think the way I trust and follow [Baekhyun and Chen]’s lead while filming is different. That’s because they know me better and they lead me well. They take care of me, as their hyung, well. Also, as for the ‘It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets’ members, we were all properly meeting each other for the first time, so we were all awkward. I felt this responsibility, that I should help lead them. I think that was the difference.” He added that he thought the purposes of the two programs were really similar.

EXO-CBX’s reality show will continue to air through oksusu every weekday. The unit will also be holding their last concerts of their first arena tour, “EXO-CBX MAGICAL CIRCUS TOUR 2018” on June 7-8 in Osaka.

On the next episode of “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets,” EXO’s Xiumin and WINNER’s Song Mino enjoy a day of leisure outdoors!

The upcoming May 24 broadcast of the MBC reality show will feature Xiumin, Song Mino, actor Kim Min Suk, and Olympic speed skating medalist Kim Min Seok spending some quality time together. Newly released stills from the episode show the members having fun as they kick a ball around outdoors and also try their hand at fishing.

Unlike Xiumin and speed skater Kim Min Seok, who become completely immersed in fishing, Song Mino reportedly cracks everyone up by focusing solely on his photography throughout the fishing trip.

The cast members also go on to enjoy a leisurely dip in the swimming pool. Song Mino relaxes while showing off his swimming skills, and the athletic Xiumin comes up with his very own “homebody-style ball game” for the members to play in the pool.

[180517] EXO’s Xiumin Shows His Love For Cleaning Once Again On “It’s Dangerous Beyond The Blankets”

EXO’s Xiumin proved he’s the king of cleanliness once again on MBC’s “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets.”

On the May 17 episode, Xiumin appeared on the show as one of the homebodies on this trip.

After greeting his new temporary roommate Loco, the idol went downstairs to wash up when he became interested in the vacuum cleaner.

He then looked around the house and saw a mess in the kitchen and dining room. In the show’s fall pilot episodes, Xiumin had explained how he gets stressed when he sees a mess and said that his hobby is cleaning.

After looking at the disorganized house, he put aside what he came down for as he created a larger trash can with an empty box and began cleaning right away. Xiumin also put the food that was on the table into the refrigerator so it wouldn’t get spoiled, before neatly rearranging things on the tables.

When he finally entered the bathroom to wash up as originally planned, Xiumin quickly tidied things in there as well.

The next morning, Xiumin woke up to the sound of people cooking in the kitchen. As soon as he got up, he looked out the window to observe the landscape before making his bed.

The idol walked downstairs and greeted his new housemates. Walking straight towards the vacuum, he said, “I wanted to try this vacuum,” and began vacuuming right away.

Ahead of its first official episode as regular programming, MBC’s “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets” has shared an adorable photo and anecdotes about EXO’s Xiumin!

The program is a reality program that features celebrities who are well-known to be homebodies. All having different personalities, they will go on short vacations together as groups of four to six people.

EXO’s Xiumin and Wanna One’s Kang Daniel became even closer during the final pilot episode of “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets” on September 10.

The episode featured the cast enjoying themselves a variety of games, such as water volleyball, a virtual reality game, and Jenga. With the task of going out to buy dinner on the line, Xiumin ended up losing not one, but two games of Jenga during the broadcast.

As the EXO member prepared to leave to go get dinner, his roommate Kang Daniel announced, “I like ‘Umin-hyung’ so I’m going to go with him.”

A laughter-filled car ride later, the pair arrived at the restaurant to buy grilled eel at Xiumin’s personal recommendation. While waiting, Xiumin playfully asked if he should search up “Kang Daniel” on Korean portal site Naver.

Shy at the prospect, Kang Daniel avoided the other’s eyes, until Xiumin said, “Should I watch your most recent performance?” The Wanna One member tried to block Xiumin’s phone as he answered, “Don’t watch please. I’m embarrassed.”

Xiumin continued on and scrolled through photos of his roommate, commenting, “You’re so cool.” Taken aback by the praise, the younger idol replied, “Don’t say that.” The EXO member hit the jackpot when he found a video that was titled “Kang Daniel’s Best Five Performances.”

As Xiumin watched with a smile on his face, Kang Daniel increasingly became even more flustered, and tried to cover the phone with his hat. He even jokingly commented to the restaurant staff, “You don’t need to give us vegetables, so please [prepare our order] as soon as possible.”

Echoing the commentary from the video, Xiumin complimented, “[You] showed decadence and sexiness at the same time,” to Kang Daniel’s continued embarrassment.

Given how their fellow EXO member was casted on a show about homebodies, Baekhyun and Chen had a few things to say about Xiumin’s lifestyle.

EXO’s Xiumin is one of five celebrities who are a part of the regular cast of MBC’s new pilot variety program, “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets.” The one thing these celebrities have in common is that they tend to stay at home, and only have a few hobbies they take part in. They will be temporarily living together under one roof while enjoying a “staycation” (stay-at-home vacation).

Baekhyun expressed, “I think Minseok (Xiumin) really likes being alone.” As Xiumin’s roommate, Chen added, “He drinks alone, or he watches a movie. I think that’s it. He really doesn’t do anything.”

MBC pilot program “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets” (literal translation) has revealed its first stills!

The show will observe the celebrities who tend to enjoy staying home as they experience a “stay-cation” together. The all-male cast consists of EXO’s Xiumin, Wanna One’s Kang Daniel, Highlight’s Yong Jun Hyung, solo artist Parc Jae Jung, and actor Lee Sang Woo.

This is the first reality program for Lee Sang Woo, so he is taken aback by the lack of a script and exclaims, “I don’t know what to do.” Yong Jun Hyung worries that there is nothing to do and that they won’t even make it on broadcast. Parc Jae Jung asks, “Are we just supposed to be left alone to go with the flow?”
