Girl group AOA member Jimin released her solo album “OOTD” on Thursday and uploaded behind-the-scenes footage of her duet recording with EXO’s Xiumin to the V app.

Before they went into the recording studio, Xiumin leaned closer to Jimin to listen to her instructions on the song. He looked professional, but seemed ready to enjoy the moment as well. 

They showed off sweet chemistry as Xiumin’s voice mingled in the air with Jimin’s. They were awkward with each other at first, but as the recoding progressed, the duo started to groove along to their own music.

The two posed for the camera in the end to flaunt their cute charms.

Within 24 hours of the release of AOA’s Jimin and EXO’s Xiumin’s collaboration project, “Call You Bae,” the song had reached No. 1 on domestic music charts such as MelOn and Genie.

The song was released at midnight KST on March 3 as part of Jimin’s solo project “Outfit of the Day” and features a warm chemistry between Jimin’s high-tone rapping and Xiumin’s gentle vocals. The lyrics express the feelings of a girl in her teens or twenties in love with an older guy.

Jimin starred on the first season of Mnet‘s hip hop survival program “Unpretty Rapstar” and performed well on music charts in early 2015 with self-composed tracks such as “Puss.” Her current solo project uses the hashtag #OOTD and is meant to represent the artist expressing her different unique music just like social media users use the hashtag “Outfit of the Day” to express their personal styles.

AOA Jimin came back as a solo and her new song CALL YOU BAE topped the music charts.

On March 2 at midnight, she released a new song of her solo project #OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) through various music charts. The song was featured by EXO Xiumin and it proved its strong power by ranking first on Melon, Genie and other music charts as soon as it came out.

The new song is a rhythmical love song, which teenagers and people in their twenties will have sympathy with. Jimin’s unique high pitch rapping and Xiumin’s gentle and powerful voice blended together and completed an aesthetic song.

She proved her ability as a rapper by appearing in Mnet’s hip-hop survival program Unpretty Rapstar Season 1 and placing high rank on the music chart with Puss and Good Start 2015.

Meanwhile, AOA rapper Jimin’s solo project #OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) is based on the act of people using the hashtag to post daily outfits on the social media. Just like the people sharing their various daily looks, she will disclose her own music color by releasing different kinds of music through the project.

AOA member Jimin has now released the music video for her new solo single, which features and stars Xiumin of EXO!

On March 3 at midnight KST, FNC Entertainment shared the music video for “Call You Bae” as part of Jimin’s solo project “Outfit of the Day.” The video gives Jimin the chance to show a different side of herself than we saw on “Unpretty Rapstar,” as she flirts with Xiumin adorably and the pair sweetly harmonize together.

On March 2 at midnight, her agency FNC Entertainment disclosed a music video teaser for Call You Bae by Jimin through its official YouTube channel. In the 30-second video, the two get close to each other and showed their fluttering hearts.

Call You Bae is a love song with medium tempo expressing love of teenagers or people in their twenties. Jimin’s signature high-tone rapping and Xiumin’s soft but powerful voice harmonize well to complete a lovely song. 

Jimin’s solo project #OOTD is inspired from a hashtag used on SNS when people post their outfits of the day as an abbreviation. Just like SNS users sharing their daily looks, Jimin will also show her various songs with her colors through the project.

Eight-member girl group AOA’s rapper Jimin’s upcoming solo album will feature boy band EXO’s singer Xiumin, multiple local reports said Friday. 

Jimin’s agency FNC Entertainment released on Friday the poster for Jimin and Xiumin’s collaboration in her solo mini album “#OOTD,” or “Outfit of the Day,” poised to be launched on Mar. 3. 

Jimin has gained recognition as a budding rapper by clinching the semifinals of competition show “Unpretty Rapstar” and releasing solo tracks last year, such as “Puss” featuring rapper Iron, “God” featuring N.Flying’s J.DON, and “Good Start” with 2AM’s vocalist Lim Seulong.

A new SM and FNC collaboration has been announced.

On February 25, a representative revealed to TVDaily that “EXO‘s Xiumin will feature in AOA‘s Jimin‘s solo album.” They also say that Xiumin will star in her upcoming music video as well.

Jimin recently posted on her social media a teaser picture, along with the caption “JIMIN’S SOLO PROJECT #OOTD COMING SOON! WHO FROZE HER?” In the photo, she is reminiscent of Elsa from the movie “Frozen,” with all the surrounding snow.

Many have pointed out that the concept matches Xiumin’s superpower, freezing, making it more amusing.

An official notice posted to the AOA Facebook page later stated that the name of the project is “#OOTD,” and that it will be released on March 3. The “first outfit” is the one that will feature Xiumin.

Jimin gained recognition for her rap talents through her appearance on the first season of Mnet‘s “Unpretty Rapstar,” and her songs, “PUSS,” “Good Start,” and “GOD” sweeped the charts at the time. Fans are excited for a new song that will showcase her unique high-toned rapping.

This will be the second time Xiumin stars in a music video, following his previous role alongside actress Kim Yoo Jung in the music video for Lovelyz‘s Jin‘s solo, “Without You.”
